2017 has been an extraordinary year for AMD marketers, PR and social media teams, winning a number of awards for their powerful work.
The overall marketing and public relations campaign, including the new look and feel for Radeon, the launch of the RX 400 Series and RX 500 Series graphics, the social media activation of the Radeon Rebellion, the record-breaking 6-hour Reddit AMA featuring Raja Koduri and the continuation of the rebellion with the Radeon Rebels, were few of many elements that worked together to bring a successful campaign to life that told the story of how Radeon was bringing premium PC gaming to the masses. This campaign helped make that tale a reality, with many PC gamers around the world equipping their rigs with the Radeon RX 400 and RX 500 Series graphics cards to experience premium PC gaming and VR at an affordable price.
Radeon Technologies Group received acclaim from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals, with a Platinum Award for Best Marketing Video and a Gold Award for Best Product Launch for the Hermes Creative Awards and a Platinum Award for Marketing Product and a Gold Award for Branding Refresh at the 2016 MarCom Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals.

- Shortlisted for the #DoDifferent Awards in Effectiveness
- Honorable Mention for Marketing Video for PR Daily’s Video Awards
- Shortlisted for Best Launch for the DMA Awards
- Gold Graphis Award for Brand Identity
- Silver Graphis Award for Logo
- Silver Award for Logo Design from the Best Brand Awards
On the communications front, Radeon Technologies Group was awarded with an Award of Merit for our Social Media Program for the #BetterRed activations and an Award of Excellence for our Marketing, Advertising and Brand Communication for the re-branding of Radeon by the Gold Quill Awards, granted by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
The Radeon Rebellion also picked up a 2017 Internet Advertising Competition Award for Outstanding Achievement in Internet Advertising, as the Best Computer Hardware Integrated Ad Campaign. It was also recognized with a Communicator Award of Excellence for Marketing Effectiveness in Integrated Campaign as well as a Communicator Award of Distinction for Marketing Effectiveness in Social Media, given by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts. In a technology-focused category, our campaign picked up a SABRE Award for excellence in Technology: Hardware.
